August 2022 Update

August 17th, 2022

If any of you have been scanning my website, you may have noticed that I haven’t blogged recently.  The reason I haven’t blogged is because I have been busy representing people, helping people, and getting favorable results.  We are now in the dog days of summer and with people going on vacation, it has given me time to once again blog.

I notice many of the people injured in accidents at work call those Pittsburgh firms that advertise heavily on television.  Other people search the internet and find the fanciest ad they can and hire firms from Harrisburg and Philadelphia.  I will not disparage other attorneys.  I see too much of this in politics.

However, I will give you several reasons why you should call my office.

1. I have been practicing law since December 1, 1976.  I have over 45 years of experience representing injured people in motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents, workers’ compensation, long term disability, and social security disability claims.  I have handled cases in Washington, Fayette, Allegheny, Westmoreland, Greene, Lawrence, Blair, and Indiana Counties.  I know the players, so to speak.  None of these firms that advertise have more experience than I do.

2. When you hire my firm you talk to me.  You will not be talking to paralegals or secretaries who will be assigned to do the work that your attorney should be doing on your behalf.  If you hire a firm in Philadelphia or Harrisburg you may never meet your attorney.

3. Traveling to Pittsburgh can be a hassle.  I am certainly more convenient compared to traveling downtown.

4. If you think I represent people only in the Mon Valley, you are mistaken.  I represent people in Washington, Greensburg, Uniontown, Waynesburg, Pittsburgh, etc.  People have come to me as far as Indiana and Somerset, Counties, as well as northern West Virginia.

5. Over my career I have obtained six figure verdicts and settlements on behalf of my clients.  That isn’t to say that everybody will get those results, but I have certainly had my share of success.  Too often I hear people tell me their attorney got them $2,500.00 and called it a big win.

6. I work hard.  I work weekends, evenings, and I have not slowed down since I began practicing.  When looking for an attorney, you should want someone who is willing to work hard on your behalf.

7. Unlike some attorneys, I am willing to advance costs and expenses out of my pocket.  This does not mean I loan people money but I have advanced thousands of dollars on behalf of my clients in order to see that their rights are protected.  Fortunately, I haven’t lost often; however, in those situations my clients owe me nothing, as I take the risk upon myself.

8. I must tell you I am old fashioned.  I like to sit down with people and talk face to face.  I believe that attorneys who simply e-mail their clients without talking to them directly will miss too many important facts which can make a significant difference in the success a client may have.

Hopefully, you will not have any motor vehicle accidents or be injured at work, but if you do please call for a free, in person appointment.

I hope each and every one of you had a very nice summer and if we could possibly help, please give us a call.

The Need to Make an Appointment

From time to time, we get e-mails out of the blue inquiring about legal issues.  The e-mails do not include telephone numbers or even an individual’s name.  As much as I want to help people, it is impractical to begin a dialog with someone I haven’t met to discuss addressing their legal needs using e-mails.  […]

Workers’ Compensation May 2020 Update

Workers’ Compensation May 2020 Update During the course of a typical thirty year working career, many employees will unfortunately be injured.
